Nestled in the heart of Princeton’s old-meets-new-downtown, Parlor feels as if it has always functioned as a hotel. In reality, the two-story building, erected in 1868 by Green & Carman, was home to their dry goods store during Princeton’s years as a bustling hub for commerce and trade.
152 years later, we have wholly reimagined it. From the 1890s architectural beams exposed during renovation to the etched Arts-and-Crafts brass door handles, we used period details to create a space that is authentic to its beginnings. Fixtures borrow from mid-century-modern and early-industrial design, while utilitarian minimalist pieces pair alongside strong Art Deco silhouettes. Art and objects throughout are equally eclectic, each hand-picked to feel like heirlooms collected over generations.
