OUR STORY
Inspired by artistic visionaries of Princeton's past, Parlor was born as a creative haven for all who wander. Brimming with beauty, soul, and one-of-a-kind keepsakes, this space is an invitation for creative immersion.
Parlor development began in 2021 after years of witnessing the outpouring of love— near and far—for our sister venture Horseradish Kitchen + Market. Horseradish started as a food-truck passion project and quickly blossomed into a community-centric gathering place with distinctive taste, good people, and a uniquely Midwestern sense of hospitality.
Between Parlor and Horseradish, a new style of 'Up North' culture is emerging. We are building a more regenerative kind of hospitality—where care is currency and presence is prioritized.
We're looking forward to hosting you.
A VIBRANT HISTORY
Parlor breathes new life into one of Princeton's oldest and most beautiful buildings on Water Street. This two-story building, erected in 1868 by Green & Carman, was home to their dry good store during Princeton's years as a bustling hub for commerce and trade. 152 years later, we have wholly reimagined it. From the 1890s architectural beams exposed during renovation to the etched Arts-and-Crafts brass door handles, we used period details to create a space that is authentic to its beginnings. Fixtures borrow from mid-century-modern and early-industrial design, while utilitarian minimalist pieces pair alongside strong Art Deco silhouettes. Art and objects throughout are equally eclectic, each hand-picked to feel like heirlooms collected over generations.
